Make beautiful ranunculus out of crepe paper! With this tutorial and video course you will learn how to get the round shape of the ranunculus just right. You also learn to make small ranunculus flowers, green buds, leaves - and how to colour the crepe paper in all the colours seen in the pictures.

The tutorial contains an 18-pages pdf divided into manageable steps with pictures, text and templates. For each step there is a video showing the process in detail - including a long video on how to color the paper.

After purchase, you will be sent a link to download your tutorial. On the first page you will find a link for the videos. The videos have english subtitles.

The paper should be colored 3-5 days in advance, to allow for it to dry - but you can also choose to skip this step and get started straight away.

Well-Made Instructions, but Design Could Be More Realistic

The videos and instructions were well-made and easy to follow. However, I found this design to be a bit expensive. Personally, I wasn’t a fan of the petal temple design, as it didn’t give my flowers the natural look I was hoping for. Stacking so many petals made the flower appear clumpy rather than resembling a real ranunculus. I would have preferred the petals to have a more oval shape or some variation between the center and outer layers to create a more realistic effect.

Dear Nicholas

Thank you for the nuanced feedback :) I am happy to hear that the instructions where easy to follow.

You are quite right! The real ranunculus flowers can look very very different depending on the variety - some ranunculus flowers are more 'light', and has a bigger difference between center and outer petals.

The ranunculus design taught in this tutorial is simply my personal favorite look for ranunculus - but it is completely understandable that this might not be everybodies ranunculus preference :)

Tak
